Now (Recently)

What I’m building, learning, and exploring lately.

At Rule4 I spend time working across systems, networks, applications, vulnerability management, and technical reviews. My work focuses on helping organizations understand risk, improve their security posture, and make practical technology decisions without adding unnecessary complexity.

I’m especially interested in the part of the work where technical findings turn into clear next steps: explaining risk, documenting decisions, and helping teams move toward better systems with practical recommendations they can actually use.

I love open-source software and contributing back to the tools that help me do better work, including tools I use at Rule4 like Cartography. Most of my professional work has lived in private environments, so I’m excited to keep finding meaningful ways to contribute in public where it makes sense.

Lately, I’ve also been spending time with open-source LLMs, agent workflows, reading more, playing acoustic guitar, learning banjo, and getting outside whenever I can.

Right now, life feels centered around meaningful work, better systems, simpler priorities, and time in the mountains.

This page is inspired by Derek Sivers's /now page. It's a great way to share what you're up to now. If you have your own site, consider creating one too—it's a good reminder of your priorities and a public statement of your values.
